Well, first off, let me welcome ya to the Record Section, A place to take a load off and look at some Album art on a bigger screen than your ipod.. Booyah! So this Barnburner disc is the latest and greatest addition to the section. It features a young "Bernard Burner" just sittin on the throne at his pad, being a badass.. Keep a eye out for the bats trapped in the six pack rings and the schooner in the 40 bottle on the back cover.
LIVING WITH LIONS - MAKE YOUR MARK
Well, well... You may of all witnessed similar party casualties in your own past, this victim of Sharpie tattoos is Mark Robinson. Best Friend of the band and the only person we had in mind for the cover, I had Mark over at my place soakin up Sharpie ink for a couple days, while I experimented and worked out all the kinks. In the end his skin was dyed grey and my room was a created mess for a bout a week, but we got the shots, had some laughs and ended up with a design that I think turned out quite nicely.
A TEXTBOOK TRAGEDY - INIMIDATOR
The intimidator artwork was a nice change of pace and lot of fun to make.. Just creating cool lookin' imagery outta nothing pretty much.. Big shout out to Science World for lookin so good on the inside panel.
DAGGERMOUTH - TURF WARS
Good old, Turf Wars. A album with a name like that, the title needed to be embraced.. Brass knucks, an alley stand down, gold mics, I was painting on walls at 3am to get this job done. I'm just glad I didnt get rolled up with the wrong peeps.
BROADWAY CALLS - ST
Broadway Calls love Oregon. They were gonna name there album Oregon but decided against it.. Man I like Oregon too.. Full service gas stations, Nike shoes and Oregon Trail, all awesome.. Anyways this design was a big shout out to Oregon. Its a decent place to be when your van breaks down.
LIVING WITH LIONS - DUDE MANOR
Sooo, there's these tables in Vancouver's oldest saloon that have been covered in little drawings and messages from different people through out the ages. Just dumb stuff, people havin fun doodlin', wedging pennies and dimes into the table. But those doodles stand the test of time, we added to the doodles and hopfully this record stands the test of time too. BAM!
PRIDE TIGER - WOOD, DHAK, PAYETTE, FROESE
I was glad to help out with this record. The guys had came up with the idea for the cover and I just put it together. It was the first appearence of the Pride Tiger logo I made which eventually went quite the distance appearing on shirts, posters and there Full length record.
DAGGERMOUTH - STALLONE
This right here is where it all started, the very first record design I ever did. I remember te first time I drew that dude. He was the man and became a little bit of a Daggermouth mascott. I used him in adds for selling both this record and Turf Wars. He was doin a good job too, but when Daggermouth signed to a Label in Japan they thought it might be a little Controversal. He got the axe and I had to make another cover for stallone's japanese release.. Poor guy
